Jonathan Scott Sobel

Mr. Jonathan S. Sobel has been Non-Executive Chairman of Hilltop Securities Inc. since July 29, 2019. Mr. Sobel has been a Director of Hilltop Holdings Inc. since July 29, 2019. He serves as Chief Executive Officer, Principal Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer of Foursquare Capital Corp. Mr. Sobel serves as a Partner at Ford Financial Fund. Mr. Sobel is a partner of Ford Management II, LP, the general partner of Ford Financial Fund II, L.P. He also served as Principal before. Mr. Sobel is also a consultant to Alliance Bernstein's special situations group. He is Managing Member of DTF Holdings, LLC. Prior to forming DTF Holdings in 2009, Mr. Sobel served as an employee of Goldman Sachs & Co. from 1987 to 2008, where he was a Partner Managing Director from 1998 to 2008. While at Goldman Sachs, he spent 17 years in its mortgage business, including six years as the Head of the Global Mortgage Department. Mr. Sobel's responsibilities as Head of the Global Mortgage Department included oversight for all trading, capital commitment, hedging, risk management, structuring and finance for its entire residential and commercial mortgage activities, including securities, loans and derivatives. He served as also Global Head of Goldman Sachs' Money Markets department, served as Head of its Global Bank Group, and spent his last 16 months at Goldman Sachs as the Chief Risk Officer for the Investment Management Division until his departure in December 2008. Mr. Sobel is a Trustee of the Hospital for Special Surgery, the Whitney Museum, Dalton School, and the Public Art Fund and is a member of the Board of Visitors for Columbia College. In 2004, he received Columbia College's John Jay Award for Alumni Achievement. Mr. Sobel holds a B.A. in Economics from Columbia.
